The idea of the ‘Totoro’ decor was based on an East Asian camphor tree that can still be seen as a standalone giant in parks today. With sweeping branches and brilliantly grown, it towers over central and distinctive places. The characteristics of the decor: unobtrusive planking that establishes order, medium-shade to dark-coloured inserts alternating with annual rings of different widths and small untended branches next to finely grained cross bars.
