SPANISH DECOR SUPPLIER TO BECOME IP DECOR SPAIN

INTERPRINT, one of the world's leading manufacturers of decorative surfaces for the wood-based materials, furniture and flooring industries, is increasing its global market presence throughout Europe with the complete takeover of the Spanish supplier Decotec. Both companies are already part of the Japanese printing group Toppan. In future, the Spanish production site will operate under the Interprint brand umbrella as IP Decor Spain.

IP Decor Spain becomes the 9th production location in the global structure of the Arnsberg-based Interprint Group. The strategic expansion will enable Interprint to expand its portfolio and offer its customers a new impregnation and printing service. The production location in Spain will also enable an even more intensive cultivation of various markets in the Mediterranean region as well as in Central America.

“We warmly welcome IP Decor Spain to our family and look forward to the new opportunities," said Hideo Yoshikawa, CEO of Interprint. "The acquisition will help us to further increase our leading position within the industry and will enable us to respond even more comprehensively to our customers' needs in the future”.

Decotec was founded in 1997 in Tordera, Spain, and has developed into a recognized supplier of printed decorative surfaces and a manufacturer of melamine resin impregnated films for the wood-based materials industry. The 100% takeover of the shares means that Interprint will become the sole shareholder of IP Decor Spain.
